The call here is KB3GUN. I’ve been a licensed amateur radio operator since June 2001. As of June 1, 2003, I am now a General class operator. I took my morse code (CW) and General exam at the Breeze Shooters Hamfest in Butler, PA.

As I’m limited in antenna space at my QTH, I operate primarily from my Jeep. I have a Yaesu FT-7100 for UHF/VHF and I also have an Icom IC-706 MKIIG with an AH-4 antenna tuner mounted in the Jeep. I have a Diamond duel band antenna on a motorized fold down mount and a hamsticks for HF. My CW key is mounted in the center console.
Check out my home-brewed antenna and tuner mount.

The 5.9ZJ comes stock with a 150A alternator and I replaced the original battery with an Optima Yellow Top. I have 8GA cables fused at the battery and running to the cargo area into a RigRunner to power my rigs.

In the QTH, I have an Icom IC V-8000 hooked to a PC with DSL internet connection and interfaced with a ULI board. This is for my EchoLink link to a local repeater. http://www.swronline.com/echolink
